We organized a worship concert for the churches in Antipolo on October 19, 2012. It was part of the songwriting camp in order to showcase the new songs that were written during the camp. We had about 175 people show up to the concert we had in Springs of Living Water. It was an amazing time of worship with some powerful testimonies. Four people were healed! Two were healed from the flu, one lady who had asthma could breathe normally for the first time! The fourth miracle was a young lady being healed from scoliosis. (We’re still waiting on some follow-up information). Rosa had been suffering from scoliosis for a long time. It was to the point that the slightest turn would send pain through her back. She had to be very careful about how she moved. God healed her, the pictures show here testifying and showing everyone that she can twist her back freely without any pain!

Sambang Pinoy 2.0 – Songwriting Camp

On Oct 18-20, 2012, the Original Filipino Christian Music Association, which we helped form, held its first big event for Christian music. Hosting 45 young songwriters at Springs of Living Water, we had some of the most respected songwriters teach on writing Christian songs. This is a big start for the OFCMA and is a start to a movement to support and spread local Christian music.

On April 3-4, 2012 we had a special retreat for pastors and their wives. We invited them for a time to get away with their spouse and be refreshed. We had 4 couples who had been married for at least 20 years come to Springs of Living Water for two days. During that time we had a guest minister share about marriage and communication and we gave the couples a special time together.

Testimonies:
1. My relationship with my spouse has grown deeper and has been renewed.
2. Actually everything was new [for me]. The things that we’ve discussed here were never done in other couple’s retreat that we attended.
3. [I learned to] always remember my position as a child of God in dealing with my husband especially when responding to him in times of conflicts.

When Faith Seems Crazy

In 1990, the Lord led Ulrich Huyssen to purchase a building and make it into Bethesda, a home for unwed mothers. In order to do this the Lord had to provide a down payment of over $20,000 in about a week. This building also became the headquarters for all the ministry we do in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia. In 1998, Gisela Huyssen received clear instructions from the Lord to construct a building called Springs of Living Water. Not knowing how and not having the money, moved forward in obedience. Springs of Living Water is finished and has been fulfilling its purpose as a place for training and refreshing for the Body of Christ. Now in 2012, we are taking a new step of faith. Next week we are purchasing the land adjacent to the mission compound. The Lord is leading us to build a church and community center. The vision is community transformation. By building on building we will have the open door to reach 200 families not only spiritually, but physically through livelihood projects and more. Compassion International provides sponsorship for poor children’s education all the way until they are 18 years old. A prerequisite is that there needs to be a church and the church needs to own the land and own the building. We’re already working with them as we begin to move forward on this building project. We can see so much potential, but the important thing is to simply be obedient to the Lord. The funds for the land is in place, for everything else, we must wait upon the Lord to provide. We’re beginning to work on the plans and on the costs for everything. Please join us on this journey of faith!

H.O.P.E. Kids

The WMFJ Children’s Ministry is now called “H.O.P.E. Kids”! The idea for the H.O.P.E. ministry is to help the people in our community excel in different areas of their lives, both spiritually and physically. As a part of helping them excel physically, we recently shared with the children the importance of having proper hygiene. We told them that their bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and that they need to take of it by making sure they bathe every day, brush their teeth, wear clean clothes, cut their fingernails and keep their hair neat. When we had our next meeting after we introduced this to them, it was exciting to see these young kids freshly bathed, teeth brushed and wearing not necessarily brand new clothes, but clean and washed clothes. Many times, because of where these kids live and their lifestyle, their parents don’t teach them about proper hygiene, because they themselves don’t know what it means and how to do it. This causes frequent sicknesses like cough, cold, diarrhea and even skin diseases to happen and get passed on to other members of the family. We are excited to be able to impart even the most basic thing to these kids and hopeful that their parents will see the change and be encouraged to do the same.

More Miracles!

God is a God of power! Nothing is too difficult for Him! We have seen Him do miracles in the last month. It’s amazing how when we seek Him and worship Him, He shows up and does something only He can do. God gets all the glory, honor, and praise.

Last e-mail we wrote about four miracles that happened. Since then we receiver reports of 2 people being healed from tuberculosis, another person healed from high blood pressure, and also some healed from prostate problems. God is Awesome!

It is amazing, that small Frickenhausen gets a Team of 10 people from America to help in the Leuchthaus. This team was a worship team; they could sing very well and play all kinds of instruments. Our worship in the Leuchthaus during that time was a delight.

The first ORU team Ulrich and I had was in Nigeria, later Ulrich took a team behind the iron curtain and then we had a team in Haiti. This year we got 2 teams one in the Philippines and one in Germany. It was a big challenge for me, since Germany is so different from the other mission fields. It is hard spiritual soil, people are not open to the Gospel making it hard to minister here.

But the Lord was with us. He opened up doors into the local school and old folk’s homes. We did worship nights in the Leuchthaus. For our youth concert 45 non Christian youth came, and some were Muslims. The team made the Leuchthaus annual Grillen & Singen a lot of fun and special. The team was walking through Frickenhausen and where they walked and in what they did, they lived their Christian faith and were a great testimony in Frickenhausen. They got to sing for the Mayor and he liked it so much, that he moved the group outside of the city hall let all the employees come out, so the city hall was closed while all employees enjoyed the Christian music. The Mayor gave each member ice cream as a special thank you treat! While the team did the prayer walks in the streets of Frickenhausen I know powers of the darkness have been broken and we shall see the result.

It was fun to have the team; they have been a big blessing, help and encouragement.

Miracles!

During the last couple of weeks we have seen God move mightily as we simply worship Him. We can count at least 10 healing miracles so far, with more testimonies coming in. Here are a few!

A person who had a broken arm couldn’t move his arm without pain and the range of motion was limited – He received full range of motion with no pain!
A lady who had a sprained shoulder for almost 8 months was healed and could mover her arm with no more pain!
A lady was healed from high blood pressure
God touched a lady who had asthma for over 30 years, now she can breather normally
Cylas from our worship team was healed from a ear infection/pain that he had for about 3 weeks
Two people testified that God healed the from tuberculosis!

God is a good God and nothing is impossible for Him!

God gave me a heart instead of cancer!

In April I had bad colon problems and ended up in the emergency room. I got an appointment for beginning of May for a colonoscopy. Everything went normal for the procedure. When I came to, I heard someone say, this is a heart. I could not think about it, because I was too sleepy. At home I looked at the pictures of the colonoscopy and the polyp which got taken out was shaped like a heart. I asked the Lord again and again what that means, that he put a heart in my colon. Last week I got my answer. He told me that my grandpa had colon cancer, my dad had colon cancer and I got a heart, because I do not have colon cancer. That me and my heart that tears filled my eyes. Last Sunday I told the Leuchthaus in my sermon about it.

Today I had to go back to the hospital in Nürtingen for a little medical procedure. Shortly before the doctor started to treat me he asked me, why I went for the colonoscopy? He said “You were lucky 6 months later and it would have been too late. He told me that the polyp was malignant and he told me again that I was lucky while starting to work on me.

I can only thank the Lord for HIS love. He capped the cancer in a heart, let it be found and removed very quickly, so that I can be well, continue to serve Him and continue to trust His promises. I have a wonderful God!

June 24, 2011:

In the mean time I found out from the doctors, that they are not sure if they got everything out. In Germany they are very careful. I need to have an operation where they will remove the part of the colon the cancerous polyp was attached too. I will have to go to the Hospital August 1 and the operation will be August 3. Please pray for me.

For a little while my emotions went in a yoyo effect. But the Lord is so faithful and has been speaking to me in awesome ways. I would switch on God TV and the right sentences which would minister to me would just be spoken at that minute, which lifted me up.

We have an awesome God who loves us and takes care of us!
